Hatching Instructions:
Prepare the Water: Use up to 2g of eggs with 25-30g of salt (NaCl, no additives) per litre of water. No need for dechlorinator—chlorine helps soften egg shells.
Set the Conditions: Adjust pH to 8.0-8.5 by adding 1.5g of Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda) per litre of water. No heater required, eggs hatch at room temperature of about 22°C.
Aerate: Use gentle aeration to keep the eggs suspended. A small aquarium air pump works well.
Hatch: Under ideal conditions, nauplii hatch within 36h with up to 85% success. If conditions vary, allow up to 48h. Suitable even for simple home setups.
Harvest: Separate the egg from the nauplii using fine mesh nets (80-200 micron) or attract them with a light source and collect via pipette.
Storage:
